I managed to take the remote controller out of the system, which instantly stopped the buzzing. When I put the fan back up on the ceiling it wobbles slightly now but I think that may be cause I haven't use the level to put it up properly (it's not like I'm using the fan in this weather???). Once you had confirmed the links should be in positions 1,2 & 3 I tried them again and Hey Presto! it works. Although I had tried all the combination of positions for the 3 links they must not have been connecting properly previously. I can't thank you enough for a very efficient service. Hi Craig just to let you know that I recieved the speed control capacitor this morning and my electrician friend has just finished installing it this afternoon and hey presto you were right the fan is now working perfectly on all 3 speeds. My electrician friend has told me that it is the best ceiling fan he has ever seen never mind fitted and I must admit that when my father had it I never paid it much heed but now that I have it you just know by operating it what a quality piece of kit it is. So I cannot thank you enough for helping me out with my plight it has been a real pleasure finding a real gentleman much like my-self on the net to do buisiness with and if there may be anything at all that I can help you with please do not hesitate to call or e-mail me anytime
